Hunter Johnson did his part, adding 2 goals and Antonio Filippello delivered for his team with 2 assists. Noah Cauchi contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first period, Henzie opened the scoring for the Wildcats with a goal at 16:58 with helpers from his linemates, Filippello and Hunter. Colclough quickly followed with a goal at 18:18 with helpers from his linemates, Mullen and Ventura.
During the second period, Johnson put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:48 with an assist from his teammate Randall. Cauchi finally put Oswego on the board with a goal at 11:43 with assists from Christou and Kohajda 3rd. Johnson quickly followed with a goal at 12:37 with helpers from Bennett and Filippello. Kilway quickly followed with a goal at 14:11 with a helper from his linemate Cauchi.
The Wildcats’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Vardon as he stopped 23 of the 25 shots he faced. Vardon’s counterpart, Kozikoski, also had a big night, managing to stop 43 of 47, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Jersey Shore Wildcats’ record to (5-1-0-0).
