The Jersey Shore Wildcats' offense had a big night, peppering the Syracuse Stampede with 41 shots throughout the game. The Jersey Shore Wildcats took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Tim O'connor.
Tim O’connor delivered for his team with 2 goals and Dylan Plsek contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). Oscar Lande did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Rocco Derollo chipped in with 2 assists.
During the first, Lande opened the scoring for Syracuse with a goal at 0:40 with helpers from his linemates, Soden and Sanborn. O’connor answered for Jersey Shore with a goal at 6:28 with helpers from his teammates Randall and Schaljo. Plsek put in a goal at 18:17 with assists from Vaysberg and Nolan. Plsek quickly followed with a goal at 19:24 with helpers from Nolan and Beck.
During the second, Allen answered for the Stampede with a goal at 2:25 with assists from his linemates, Derollo and Walker. O’connor answered for the Wildcats with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:50 with a helper from Virgoe. Hart quickly followed with a goal at 12:39 with assists from Lande and Derollo. Schaljo answered for Jersey Shore with a goal at 16:05 with helpers from Randall and Hunter.
In the third period, Rowe netted a goal at 2:17 with assists from Vaysberg and Nolan. Vaysberg put in a goal at 14:37 with helpers from his linemates, Plsek and Ventura.
The Wildcats’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Virgoe’s big night as he stopped 34 of the 37 shots he faced. Virgoe’s counterpart, Scheide, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 41, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Jersey Shore Wildcats’ record to (30-20-1-0)
