During the first period, Filippello opened the scoring for the Wildcats with a goal at 14:30 with helpers from his linemates, Mullen and Colclough.
In the second, Henzie netted a goal at 16:39 with an assist from his teammate Lowry.
In the third, Johnson deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:48 with helpers from Bennett and O’connor. Garrigan quickly followed with a goal at 1:28 with assists from his linemates, Vanderhoff and Ford. Randall answered for Jersey Shore with a goal at 4:10 with helpers from his linemates, Gulawsky and Johnson. King answered for Skylands with a goal at 10:29 with an assist from Shetov. Randall answered for the Wildcats with a goal at 19:21 with helpers from Mullen and O’connor.
The Wildcats’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Anastasia as he stopped 16 of the 18 shots he faced. Anastasia’s counterpart, Zink, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Jersey Shore Wildcats’ record to (13-4-0-0).
