Billet a Player

Billet a Player

JERSEYSHORE WILDCATS

Billeting Program:
The JERSEY SHORE WILDCATS player’s ages range from 16-20. Most are over 18, and have completed their High School educations. Unlike other Junior programs, the WILDCATS believe in placing players with families and in situations where they are closely monitored, but still have their first sampling of autonomy.
In most cases, very strong bonds are made between the player and his billet family as well as with the player’s family. These relationships will often carry on for many years after the player has left the team. Often billet families can be seen following the player in his future career be it college, semi-pro or pro.
Our players have proven to be great role models for younger children in the billet family, as they demonstrate hard work and determination to achieve tough goals.
The players must adhere to all team and house rules and show respect and consideration toward all family members.
In all circumstances Billets and Players are carefully chosen by the coaching staff to ensure the most successful relationships are forged, and that all facilities are within close proximity. The player is responsible for his own transportation and/or coordinating for rides. $400/month is received to the billet family per player.
Becoming a WILDCAT Billet family comes with great perks such as:
– Two JSA Public Skating passes
– Two JSA Open Hockey passes
– One JSA Hockey Clinic pass
– One JSA Hockey Summer Camp pass
Etc…

JERSEYSHORE WILDCATS
Hockey Billeting Program

The JERSEY SHORE WILDCATS player’s ages range from 18-20.  Most are over 18, and have completed their High School educations.

Most of the players stay in a Hockey Billet under 24/7 supervision of the Assistant coach. It has the feel of a College dorm.

The hockey billet is located approximately 10-15 min away from the rink, where they are closely monitored, but still have their first sampling of autonomy.

The players mainly spend only a few hours at the billet  since they are mainly at the rink training from 9AM to 6PM.

Our players have proven to be great role models for younger children in the community, as they demonstrate hard work and determination to achieve tough goals.

That includes basic living, room, bed, food, laundry etc.

The player is responsible to bring his own pillow, sheet, covers, shampoo, soap.
